What it does
- Live camera with the address and GPS shown before you shoot
- 3 stamp styles: Classic, Compact and Site Report
- Change the stamp size, darkness and position (top or bottom)
- Photo shape 4:3 or 16:9, in Standard or High quality
- Pinch to zoom, tap to focus
- Your company logo, project name and a default note on every stamp (My stamp)
- Photos saved in Gallery › Pictures/GeoStamp, with a separate folder for each project
- Option to also keep the original photo without a stamp
- Location also saved inside the photo file (EXIF), so Google Photos and Maps can read it
- Each photo gets a unique ID (GS-XXXXXXXX)
- Verify a photo: checks whether a photo is unchanged since GeoStamp saved it (on the phone that took it)
- Reports: today's photos as a PDF, and all photo locations as CSV (Excel) or KML (Google Earth)
Built for trust
- A warning is printed on the photo if a fake-GPS app is used
- A warning if the phone clock is wrong, with GPS time printed instead
- If the location is not fresh, the stamp says how old it is
- Never loses a photo: if stamping fails, the photo is still saved
Works in the field
- Coordinates work without internet. The address is added to photos taken while online.
- Light app (under 1 MB) that runs on low-cost phones
- Android 10 or newer
- No login, no account
Permissions
- Camera: to take photos
- Location: only while the app is open, never in the background
- Internet: only to look up the address for a location
- No storage permission needed
Your privacy
- Photos, project details and the photo log stay on your phone
- To show an address, only the GPS coordinates are sent to an address service
- No ads and no account. The app has no analytics.
