In short
- No login, no account. We do not run any server for this app.
- Your tenants, bills, meter readings and photos are stored only on your phone. We never receive them.
- A bill or backup leaves your phone only when you tap Share and choose where to send it.
- The free app shows Google AdMob banner ads. Google may use your device's advertising ID and some technical data to show and measure ads.
1. Who we are
Kiraya Bill ("the app") is made by Urja Infotech, an independent developer in Gujarat, India. The app helps landlords, PG owners and room owners make monthly rent and electricity bills. If you have questions about this policy, write to urjainfotech3@gmail.com.
2. Information the app stores on your phone
To make bills, the app saves the following in its private storage on your device:
- Your name or property name, phone number and UPI ID, which you enter in Settings and which are printed on your bills.
- Tenant details you enter: name, room number, phone number, rent, electricity rate and other monthly charges.
- Meter readings, bills, and paid or pending status.
- Meter photos, if you choose to attach them.
- App settings such as language and slab rates.
This information is not sent to us or to any server run by us. We cannot see it, and we do not sell it.
3. Camera and photos
Adding a meter photo is optional. When you tap "Add meter photo", the app opens your camera app or lets you pick an image from your gallery. Only the photo you take or pick is copied into the app's private storage and placed on that bill. The app does not read your other photos.
4. Sharing bills
When you tap "Send on WhatsApp" or "PDF", the app creates the bill image or PDF and hands it to the app you choose, such as WhatsApp, Gmail or Google Drive. What happens after that is governed by that app's own privacy policy. The bill contains the details shown on it, including the tenant's name, the amounts, your UPI ID and, if added, the meter photo.
5. UPI payment QR code
If you enter a UPI ID, the app prints a UPI QR code on unpaid bills. The QR code contains only your UPI ID, your name, the bill amount and a short note. The app does not process payments, does not connect to any bank, and never sees payment details. Payments happen entirely inside the tenant's own UPI app.
6. Backups
"Save backup" creates a file with all your app data and lets you send it to a place you choose, for example Google Drive or WhatsApp. Keep this file private, because it contains your tenants' details. "Restore from backup" reads a backup file that you select and replaces the data in the app.
7. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free app shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:
- your device's advertising ID,
- approximate location derived from your IP address,
- device and app information such as model, Android version and app version,
- ad interactions, crash logs and diagnostics.
Depending on your Google settings, ads may be personalized. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your phone's Settings under Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads). The app does not share your tenants' details, bills or photos with Google or any advertiser.
8. Internet access
The app uses the internet only to load ads. Making bills, tracking pending amounts and backups all work offline.
9. Children
Kiraya Bill is a business tool for adults and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Data security and deletion
Your data stays in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. You are in control of deleting it:
- Delete a single bill from the bill screen.
- Delete a tenant, which also deletes all of that tenant's bills and meter photos.
- Uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android Settings to delete everything.
Backup files you have sent elsewhere must be deleted from those places yourself.
11. This website
This website (urjainfotech3.github.io) uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits and see which links bring visitors. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not identify individual visitors. The Kiraya Bill app itself does not use it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Important changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes on Google Play.
